Should you read this book? This, it seems to me, is the point a book review must inevitably resolve. I’ll go ahead and kill the suspense by saying "yes." If you are involved with the development of SQL systems at any level and wish to read some productive material you can safely turn to this book. This isn’t a perfect book by any means. It disappoints in some key ways. However, I am hard pressed to find fault enough to justify not recommending the book.
